Project Description
The project finished on 31/06/11 and was evaluated as "Excellent: the project has fully achieved its objectives and technical goals for the period and has even exceeded expectations"
The reviewers commented: In summary, the project has done a great job during the third and final period as well as over the whole project. The PANORAMA project has played a key role in building a sense of community within the projects of the PerAda initiative and has done an excellent job of disseminating these ideas internally (among the PerAda projects) as well as externally: they have provided the first steps towards a research roadmap as well as popular text outlining a vision of Pervasive Adaptive Systems. They have organised a variety of internal and public events, have encouraged multi-disciplinary and educational activities, and have promoted European Research in pervasive, adaptive systems.
PANORAMA was an EU Coordination Action coordinating research in a proactive initiative on Pervasive Adaptation.
Although the project has now officially finished, the project website www.perada.eu remains an excellent resource for materials for teaching, research, and public engagement.
The PerAda Magazine is a large collection of short, accessible articles on a variety of aspects of Pervasive Adaptation.
