Survive and Thrive Project

People Involved

Project Description

The project falls within three of the priority areas of this funding including complex mental health for survivors, complex trauma, and the provision of support for survivors in prison. It is envisaged that the proposed intervention will help promote psychological well-being for survivors in the following ways:
1. Develop a specific trauma informed treatment paradigm and service responsive model that can be adopted throughout the SPS that seeks to stabilise current mental health and behavioural (i.e. offending) difficulties of survivors of childhood trauma.
2. Deliver a staged intervention service that seeks to prepare survivors for participation in advanced trauma and offending behaviour interventions.
3. Increase survivors treatment readiness to participate in other programmes designed to address offending behaviour and promote psychological functioning.
