Project Description

This project will evidence the long term contributions made by Local Area Coordinators to improving the health and well-being of people with learning disabilities thereby ensuring the sustainability, accessibility and wider development of these services across Scotland. The project aims to:
Evaluate the long term impact of Local Area Coordinators on helping people with learning disabilities adopt positive health behaviours and self-care in the following areas:
� Exercise
� Physical activity
� Diet and nutrition
� Accessing health promotion and health education
� Self-management of common health conditions
