Biography Jackie Cameron, PhD (Stirling), MA Contemporary Chinese Studies (Nottingham), BJRN (Hons) (Rhodes), FHEA, is digital marketing lecturer and deputy programme leader of the BA (Hons) Marketing with Digital Media at Edinburgh Napier University. Her academic expertise in marketing strategy and communications is complemented by industry experience in digital media and marketing in China as well as Europe and Africa.

Her research seeks to understand the nuances of human behaviour in digital ecosystems in order to communicate effectively with target audiences. She is involved in developing new research tools and techniques for media and marketing practitioners in the AI era. Recent publications include: textbook chapters on digital content marketing and co-authored studies that advance novel research methods - on visual digital content analysis in mobile communications and digital ethnography in social media communications. She is also working on Scholarship of Learning and Teaching research projects as part of her commitment to ongoing professional development as a University lecturer.

Dr Cameron has a wealth of experience in marketing communications and the digital media industry, as a creative, account director and managing partner. A former financial journalist and author of personal finance books, she has worked on content marketing strategies and designed, developed and delivered an extensive range of content assets for global and domestically focused financial services companies. Project management experience includes researching, planning and launching media titles (print and digital) for publicly listed business news organisations and content marketing agencies.

Teaching experience includes supervising research students (PhD, Master's, MBA, undergraduate) in the UK and Vietnam and convening a postgraduate module on strategic public relations. A number of Dr Cameron's students have won prizes for their final year projects.
