'A Night at Stobs': AHRC-funded Performances about WWI Internment
Jun 18, 2018
Summary A series of AHRC-funded performances will take place at venues in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Hawick in June.
Produced by a multi-disciplinary team at Edinburgh Napier, and featuring Music and Acting students and graduates, the shows will bring the history of WWI internment to life in accessible yet thought-provoking ways. The performances will be followed by a Q&A. The project already received some coverage in newspapers and the BBC in February (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-43210547).

Forgotten 1920s sci-fi novel by Scots author reawakened by students
May 14, 2016
Summary IT is a little-known Scottish science fiction novel which nearly sank without trace when it was published almost a century ago. Today, it is rated one of the 12 most essential Scottish sci-fi novels of all-time by the Scottish Book Trust.
The work has been snapped up for publication after recently falling out of copyright and will be repackaged and promoted to the modern-day generation of sci-fi fans by the all-female team from Edinburgh Napier University.
