Project Description

The study will employ a Permeapad 96-well plate system, which mimics passive diffusion barriers found in the human body. Commercially available bovine serum and urine samples will be spiked with specific concentrations of the target anticonvulsants. The workflow will include enzymatic hydrolysis, Permeapad extraction, and GC-MS/MS analysis with a butylation derivatization. Experimental variables, including pH and solvent concentration, will be optimized. The method's performance will be validated through recovery studies and comparison with conventional techniques, such as SPE.
