This is a successful bid for a Small Research Grant with Creative Informatics at Edinburgh Napier and Edinburgh University. The proposal is to explore the dramatic potential of Augmented Reality and Dolby Atmos sound in the context of high end TV drama.
The research would inform a two-part activity - to script and then produce two short scenes which explore the dynamic range of possibilities for sound in a dramatic story.
The outputs would be conference presentations at Sound/Space (Paris 2022) and the Screenwriting Research Network. There would also be a journal article to submit to Journal of Screenwriting.
