CAROUSEL focuses on how Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies improve the quality of experience and social interaction in the frame of live virtual and hybrid events in the future. The Internet has developed until now in a largely isolated digital realm with points of access through web browsers on people’s computer desktops, and more recently viewed by many through such browsers and messaging apps on handheld mobile devices without much integration with the context of real-world touch, sound and scenes taking place around them. Consequently, people have been unexpectedly isolated, instead of brought together, in what are technologies based on connectivity.
The uniqueness of the CAROUSEL value proposition resides in its capacity to empower meaningful social interaction to share imagination in virtual and hybrid settings beyond the existing massive online game environments. Group social and collaborative interactions in virtual and hybrid s settings are still underdeveloped, leaving much to be discovered in the mass scale of cultural and economic benefits that more visceral digital connectivity can bring to us all.
