2016

Description Eduardo Martin Moral (in the photo), a student of the MEng Civil and Transportation Engineering, has been awarded the prize for the Best Paper from a Young Professional at the Scottish Transport Applications and Research conference 2016 (http://www.starconference.org.uk/), which took place in Glasgow on 18th May. Eduardo presented a segmentation of the users of the Santander cycles in London (https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/cycling/santander-cycles), showing that the bike sharing scheme is largely used for commuting.  The work was carried out in collaboration with Transport for London and under the supervision of Dr Achille Fonzone and Kathryn Stewart of TRI.
