Biography | I am a full time Lecturer in the Psychology group. I have keen interests in the fields of creativity, incubation, problem solving, decision making, as well as in cognition and attention generally. I am a founding member of the UK Creativity Researchers group, and regularly organise events and conferences in collaboration with Dr Gillian Hill (University of Buckingham) and Dr Shelly Kemp (University of Liverpool). |
Research Interests | Psychology, Cognition, Creativity, Attention, ADHD, Incubation, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Bilingualism. I supervise three research students with projects in the areas of creativtiy, education, and dyslexia. |
Teaching and Learning | I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I teach Cognitive Psychology, Current Topics in Psychology, and supervise Honours Projects. I tutor on Social Psychology, and have a guest lecture on Educational Psychology. I am Programme Leader for BA/BSc (Hons) Psychology. |
