Project Description

Metaheuristics are widely used to solve important practical combinatorial optimization problems. But the how and why they work effectively for specific problems and for others not, remains a mystery. The overall goal of the Metaheuristis Network is to explore these mysteries, to structure algorithm components and to evaluate their particular contribution to algorithm behavior as well as to use the extracted information for the development of new composite algorithms.
