The Significant Ankle Ligament Injury (SALI) Cohort Study

Project Description

This is an Arthritis research UK Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis funded research project collaboration between the University of Nottingham (lead) and Edinburgh Napier University. The study is recruiting patients who present with significant ankle ligament injuries at four hospital Emergency departments across NHS Lothian, Nottinghamshire and Leeds NHS Trusts (Royal Infirmary Edinburgh; Nottingham Queens Medical Centre; Leeds St James and Leeds General infirmary). 5000 participants will be recruited to this 15 year prospective study cohort where they will be followed and have their injury and OA outcomes reported.
