To build an ongoing database of evidence relating to Mental toughness, leadership, coping and GRIT in order to evidence the process and outcomes of BES expeditions in relation to personal development. To gain a better understanding of the experiences of young people on BES expeditions. To identify any themes emerging from data in relation to 3 and 5 week expedition differences and differing views with reference to science and adventure components of BES expeditions.
