Project Description

This project will support the digital transformation of the building standards system in Scotland by supporting a strengthened compliance system and putting in place the tools to develop a digital golden thread. Other work is being taken forward around digital compliance tools for larger projects, but for small to medium projects our SME’s deliver the majority of construction in Scotland which requires passage through the building standards system. The importance of SME inclusion cannot be underestimated and we look to explore how technology and digital working can improve the building standards journey for SME’s Data continues to be an area which requires attention as we look to build solid foundations for our transformation in all areas, particularly around compliance, where a digital golden thread remains a universal objective. In preparation for delivery of a new national applications system for building standards, we also look to explore opportunities to move from a traditional application system to one based on good data principles.
