SNRG is a human centred PropTech company that believes affordability, sustainability and community are key to building a better quality of life. The objective of SNRG is to design, build and operate net zero carbon, subscription based communities using a standardised, modular and shared living approach. The purpose of this research is to determine an optimum Scottish homegrown mass timber solution for the modular units. The optimisation process will have to determine the correct thermal, acoustic and structural performance of the modules taking in to consideration the production process. A digital twin of the modular system will therefore be created and enriched with information ascertained from a pilot manufacturing process via the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre and Scottish supply chain partners.
