Project Description

The objective of the project is to examine the practicality of the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) being able to offer a fuel cell / combined heat and power installation at a local jewellery company (Sheila Fleet), with the aim of helping to decarbonise the business. In this way EMEC will be able to analyse and evaluate the practicalities of offering this type of service as a pre-cursor to roll-out of a commercial service.

The project will also help to define and underpin the commercial case for the wider use of locally produced green hydrogen as an alternative to fossil fuels plus investigate the potential total impact on CO2e emission reduction of its adoption.
