This proposal will provide a midwife interested in the area of bereavement the opportunity to undertake a PhD over a 3 year period. This undertaking will develop skills and understanding of midwives within the clinical area and universities relative to stillbirth management. Post qualification this midwife will be eligible to advance knowledge and practice in the area of bereavement, which ultimately will progress evidenced-based practice and clinical skills.
