Biography Dr Nader Seyedkalali is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Business Management (Strategy) at the Business School, Edinburgh Napier University. He leads the MSc programme in International Business Management and is a member of the Centre for Business Innovation and Sustainable Solutions (CBISS). His research focuses on the intersection of strategic management, corporate sustainability, and digital innovation, examining how organisations integrate sustainable practices and digital technologies into strategic decision-making to drive competitive advantage. Central to his research are themes such as dynamic capabilities, ambidexterity, temporality, and ESG. His work has been published in leading journals, including the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research and the Journal of Organisational Change Management.

With over 15 years of experience in academia and industry consulting, Dr Seyedkalali has collaborated with C-level executives across the public sector, banking, telecommunications, and large conglomerates in Iran. Leveraging his extensive academic and consultancy expertise, he has developed practical and sustainable strategic solutions across industries.

Dr Seyedkalali was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cologne, Germany, and served as an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies (IHCS), where he also founded and directed the Centre for Innovation and Technology Studies. Additionally, he led numerous strategy and organisation modules at the University of Tehran. Throughout his academic career, he has supervised PhD and master’s students, mentoring them to produce impactful, industry-relevant research.

Dr Seyedkalali has co-founded, co-chaired, and organised major academic and industry-focused events in Tehran, including the International Conferences on Strategic Management, the Business Analysis and Analytics Conference, and the National Strategy Award for Iranian Companies. These prominent events, attended by hundreds of professionals, fostered collaboration and the exchange of impactful ideas in strategy and innovation.

Outside academia and industry, Dr Seyedkalali is a bibliophile, deeply engaged with world literature. He cherishes his time spent with books, collecting and discussing them, which enriches both his personal and professional life.
