Biography Dr. Nader Seyedkalali is an Assistant Professor of Business Management at Edinburgh Napier University, specialising in Business Strategy. He holds roles as Deputy Programme Lead for the MSc in International Business Management and Module Leader for the International Business Module. He is also a member of the Centre for Business Innovation and Sustainable Solutions (CBISS).

Previously, Dr. Seyedkalali served as an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies (IHCS) and was the founding director of the IHCS Centre for Innovation Research. His academic journey includes roles as a Regular Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Tehran and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cologne, Germany.

Dr. Seyedkalali earned his PhD in Business Management from the University of Tehran, where he also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship. His research focuses on competitive strategy, business models, and innovation ambidexterity, with findings published in esteemed journals such as the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research, and Journal of Organisational Change Management.

An engaged educator and adviser, Dr. Seyedkalali has led numerous modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervised several master’s dissertations and doctoral theses. He has also provided strategic consultancy to C-level executives across sectors such as banking, telecommunications, and conglomerates.

His leadership extends to organising large-scale academic events in Tehran, including two International Conferences on Strategic Management, the International Conference on Business Analysis and Analytics, and the prestigious National Strategy Award, each attended by hundreds of academics, business consultants, and industry leaders.

Outside the classroom, Dr. Seyedkalali is a bibliophile, deeply engaged with world literature and history. He cherishes his time spent with books, collecting and discussing them, which enriches both his personal and professional life.
