Biography Dr Nader Seyedkalali is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Business Management (Strategy) at the Business School, Edinburgh Napier University. He leads the MSc programme in International Business Management and is a member of the Centre for Business Innovation and Sustainable Solutions (CBISS). His research explores the intersection of strategic management, corporate sustainability, and digital innovation, focusing on how organisations embed sustainable practices and digital technologies into strategic decision-making for competitive advantage. Central to his research are themes such as dynamic capabilities, ambidexterity, entrepreneurial orientation, and ESG strategy. His work has been published in leading journals, including the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research and the Journal of Organisational Change Management.

Dr. Seyedkalali has broad experience in academia and industry consulting, collaborating with C-level executives across the public sector, banking, telecommunications, and diversified business groups. He has contributed to the development of strategic plans and implementation frameworks across industries.

He was a Tenured Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies (IHCS), where he also founded and directed the Centre for Innovation and Technology Studies. Additionally, he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cologne, Germany, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Tehran, where he regularly led and taught strategy and organisation modules. Throughout his academic career, he has supervised PhD and master’s students, mentoring them in producing industry-relevant research.

Dr Seyedkalali has co-founded and chaired major academic and industry-focused events in Tehran, including the International Conferences on Strategic Management, the Business Analysis and Analytics Conference, and the National Strategy Award for Iranian Companies. These prominent events, drawing hundreds of professionals from academia and industry, fostered collaboration and the exchange of insightful ideas.

Outside academia and industry, Dr Seyedkalali is a bibliophile, deeply engaged with world literature. He cherishes books and the discussions they inspire, which enrich both his personal and professional life.
