Biography I am a PhD Candidate in Intercultural Communication at Edinburgh Napier. My research is about exploring the connection between mindfulness and interculturality by investigating the impact of mindfulness on everyday life experiences of migrants in Scotland, who are regular mindfulness practitioners. Research methods include autoethnography and longitudinal qualitative ethnographic study.

My education in foreign languages and experiences of studying abroad sparked my interest in intercultural communication. I hold a BA (Hons) in Polish Language and Literature from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland, a BA (Hons) in French, English and Japanese from University of Westminster in London and Paul Valéry University Montpellier in France, and an MRes in Translating Cultures (with Distinction) from University of Westminster.

Furthermore, I am an experienced interculturalist with expertise in project management, partnerships building, inclusivity and wellbeing, gained through 10+ years of international work experience in Higher Education, Voluntary sector and the Government. My strengths include versatility and adaptability, communication and interpersonal skills, pro-active approach and creativity. I am passionate about education in all forms and ensuring equal and fair access to learning for all. I am also a trained meditation instructor.

Research Interests My research interests oscillate primarily between migration, mindfulness, identity formation and interculturality.
Teaching and Learning Throughout my doctoral studies, I have been teaching and marking across several modules, including sociology, semantics, research methods, Scottish Culture and intercultural communication.

I have also undertaken several other roles, such as acting as the Student Panel member reviewing and approving courses and working as a Research Assistant on the Learning Spaces project to help design new study environments.
