UK Research and Innovation today announced its backing for the Seven Kingdoms of Wester Hailes, one of 53 new UK-wide projects worth £1.4million which will enable members of the public to actively contribute to research and innovation projects that affect their lives.

Dr Clare Taylor takes part in expert panel for Evidence Week at UK Parliament

Summary Dr Clare Taylor, Senior Lecturer in the School of Applied Sciences, was an invited panel member for the event 'Too much evidence or not enough?' organised by Society for Applied Microbiology and Sense About Science as part of the first ever Evidence Week at UK Parliament. Dr Taylor was joined by Elaine Williams (Research Director at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre) and Juliet Tizzard (Director of Policy at the Health Research Authority). The discussion featured funding, accessibility, and transparency of health research, in addition to engagement with public and policy audiences on hot topics including drug-resistant infections and vaccines.
