Summary A Team of community researchers will join forces with academics to help improve their neighbourhood.

UK Research and Innovation today announced its backing for the Seven Kingdoms of Wester Hailes, one of 53 new UK-wide projects worth £1.4million which will enable members of the public to actively contribute to research and innovation projects that affect their lives.
Part of the agency’s Enhancing place-based partnerships in public engagement programme, the project involves community partners working with Edinburgh Napier University to contribute to the local place plan being developed with support from the Scottish Government’s Chief Architect.

MEmorial Project awarded Edinburgh Futures Institute Funding

Summary In June 2019 the MEmorial team completed a two week development workshop, to follow on from this initial research, funded by an Edinburgh Futures Institute Research Award. The workshop culminated in a work-in-progress sharing event on Thursday 27th June 7-9pm, Inspace, University of Edinburgh. Additional support was provided by Sam Flint (programming), John Morrison and Mari-Nikol Panteva (additional performers).

Past Forward Exhibition Includes Magic Box built by student

Summary The Scotland's Urban Past Travelling Exhibition launching at Summerhall includes an interactive 'magic box' built by Interactive Media Design student Eva Mackamul. Dr Tom Flint Eva's programme leader designed the box in discussion with the tem at Scotland's Urban Past. Tom supervised the build and delivery of the final piece.
