Abstract

The employability of Project Management (PM) graduates was a common topic of discussion in the past decade. Employers are constantly looking for graduates who can thrive in the challenging, complex, and ever-changing project environment. In response, adopting cutting-edge teaching strategies by educational institutions is essential given the growing demand for practical project management skills. Graduates must master relevant project management skills in addition to acquiring transferable skills which include but are not limited to leadership, adaptability, problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking. This chapter adopts a case study approach to describe strategies undertaken to advance the key skills of the postgraduate project management learners at a Scottish university. This approach not only bridges theory and practice through the curriculum but also prepares them for the future workforce.
