Biography Dr. Melina Doargajudhur is a researcher and lecturer in the field of Management and Information Systems and has research interests in aspects of technology adoption, mobile technology, work outcomes, Learning & Teaching, remote working, employability, future workforce, project management, employees’ well-being, job demands and resources, particularly on the impact of technology on job outcomes related to performance, productivity, motivation, satisfaction, organizational commitment and health impairment. She masters qualitative and quantitative research equally, with her work showcasing rigorous interviewing skills and strong acumen for structural equation modelling. Melina has published in highly regarded and established A journals within her field.
Prior to joining Edinburgh Napier University Business School, Melina was a senior lecturer at the Curtin Mauritius School of Information Technology, an establishment she joined in 2004. Throughout her 18 years of distinguished service to education, she has demonstrated teaching excellence across an expanding portfolio of units by raising and maintaining students’ success rate at and over 95% in modules taught. She has always taken an active participation in local conferences, seminars, board of examiners and workshop programme committees, including mentoring, coaching, and supervising peers and students undertaking their PhD thesis or dissertations. Her dedication and quality of work have been commended on numerous occasions. She is deeply involved in curriculum design, served on an ‘Online Teaching Peer Review’ team, and collaborated in many community projects.
Since joining Edinburgh Napier University, Melina has been appointed the Programme Lead for the MBA Strategic Project Management and Engineering Management programmes in the Business School; and is currently supervising a number of dissertations including live projects.
Melina was awarded a PhD in Information Systems from the Open University of Mauritius under the tutelage of Professor Peter Dell from Curtin University, Australia, in 2020. Prior to that, she obtained her Masters of International Business from Curtin University of Technology, Australia in 2011, and BSc degree in Information Systems from the University of South Africa in 2004.
