A Note on When the Sleeper Wakes and Heart of Darkness

Abstract

This article discusses the fact that Heart of Darkness is mentioned in H. G. Wells's When the Sleeper Wakes. It argues that due to publication dates, it would seem that Wells knew about Conrad's story and may well have seen the manuscript.
