Abstract

In this paper, an approach to obtain the compact multi-level mixed polarity Reed-Muller (MMPRM) from an FPRM function is discussed. By operating on the onset table with rows (columns) swapping and table dividing, some operators such as extraction of global variables, local variables and sub-tables from an onset table are proposed. Employing these operators, the compact MMPRM form can be obtained from the onset table. The experimental results show that a significant area improvement is obtained compared with the published results.
