One of the most effective and prevalent types of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) is permeable pavement systems. Permeable pavement systems allow effective management of surface water runoff and are an efficient method of improving water quality. This paper comprises a structured literature review of the most significant research in the field and suggests a road map for research in respect of permeable pavement systems.
