Project Description

The Associate Student Project (ASP) builds partnerships between the School of Computing and local further education colleges (FEs) to support students who study for the first two years of their degree at college (e.g. via an HND) and then enter university directly into 3rd year. This includes creating articulation routes by mapping the curriculum between college and university programmes and aligning teaching and assessment methods. Any gaps in provision are identified and addressed and students are supported with core academic skills, such as self-study and referencing. The ASP, provides a range of interventions to support DE students, from their first year at college to their final year at university. The project includes a wide range of research, in order to understand the perspectives and experiences of students involved and to improve implementation.
