Project Description
This Innovation Voucher in collaboration with Edinburgh Travel Limited aims to build a novel and effective web based e-tourism service to make the tour as pleasant and memorable as possible. Service and information will be adaptive and be personalised to the individual user contexts.
As its economy booms, the number of Chinese tourists traveling abroad has been increasing significantly. Scotland could be one of their favourite destinations due to its rich and unique tourism resorts. Furthermore, the tourists have the potential to bring in investments and business activities. This Innovation Voucher aims to build a novel and effective web based e-tourism service to make the tour as pleasant and memorable as possible. Service and information will be adaptive and be personalised to the individual user contexts. Tourists can customized their tours, enjoy digitally supported scenery and share their experiences via social networks. The application will use Web 2.0 technology to bring live data and build links between tourists and local businesses to benefit Scottish economy.
