Contains the software produced for this project, a suite of components for analysing Darwin Core Archive (DWCA) datafiles for data quality issues such as data coverage, classification issues (taxonomic dumping) and temporal distribution. Specimen-based data sets can be compared to specialist taxonomies as long as both are DWCA compatible.
The software was produced in JavaScript using the D3, JQuery and Leaflet.js libraries among others. This web-based approach allows anyone with a modern HTML5 compliant browser to analyse such datasets and examples are available on the website.
A paper is currently under review in the journal of Ecological Informatics.
