Project Description
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and Internet of things are among the top potential new technologies that dramatically alter the world and the way we live and work. Indeed, in recent decades, the need to observe and monitor the physical phenomena such as temperature, pressure or brightness is essential for many industrial, environmental and scientific applications. Indeed, most of oil infrastructure, such as pipelines, refineries, requires continuous monitoring of various parameters (pressure, temperature, vibration…) in order to prevent accidents, malfunctioning, and to monitor the overall production system. Thus, the aim of this project is to develop beyond the state-of-the-art, reliable, scalable and efficient wireless sensing system for monitoring and surveillance in oil/gas industry.
