The customer has experience in the locksmith sector and has identified an opportunity for developing a system that will automatically control the closure of windows to prevent theft and break in. An initial survey of the market indicates that there is an opportunity in the market for such a device.
The system needs a control device and a closure mechanism that will operate remotely via Bluetooth and have the power to close a variety of window sizes using a manageable power source. The innovation is in the design of a suitable system that is commercially viable and attractive to the sector. The social housing and sheltered housing market offers significant opportunity for this type of device.
The project will break down the fundamental parts of the system and identify the key components involved. We will then design a suitable operating test model which will then be refined to produce a final feasibility report on the key elements and component parts to allow a prototype to be produced.
