The project will investigate the effectiveness of adding crumbed rubber to the site soil as a means of improving soil resilience to wheel loads, resisting erosion and hence reducing maintenance burden. The project will take the form of geotechnical investigation and analysis comprising two main phases: (1) site investigation and soil characterisation and (2) laboratory testing of recycled soil mixtures.
