Project Description
An Agenda for New Skills and Jobs prioritises equipping people with the right skills for employment. It recognises the crucial role that developing labour market intelligence and skills governance has in
ensuring that Europes citizens are aware of, and have access to, the right mix of skills. The recent employment package ,Towards a Jobs Rich Recovery, recognised the need for a dynamic jobs rich economy and called for higher investment in skills to address the skills mismatches in Europes labour markets, as well as better anticipation of skills needs/forecasting. Our project addresses the aims of these initiatives directly, by seeking to understand better the transmission mechanisms of current forecasting systems used by employers, workers and their representatives, education and training providers, careers advisers, public authorities and qualifications bodies.
This project has received funding from the European Unions under grant agreement No VS/2012/0514
