Tool development for the assessment of European flat oyster restoration success using eDNA, acoustics and visual surveys

Project Description

Project dedicated to eDNA analysis, which is possible with the awarded funding from SMEEF (Scottish Marine Environmental Enhancement Fund). The eDNA have been taken from European Flat Oyster Beds and will be analysed through the bioinformatic company NatureMetrics . The eDNA analyses are needed to trial and build a new tool for the assessment of community-led (as well as scientist-led oyster restoration projects.
