Exploring the resilience of Palestinian SMEs: a collaboration with Oxfam Palestine

People Involved

Project Description

The collaboration will proceed in two stages.

1.Developing methods for measuring the resilience of women-led SMEs in Palestine, testing hypothesised sliding scale: discontinuous/failed; survived; resilient; & sustainable. This will involve 50 case studies, and test the role of psychological and social dimensions including socio-emotional wealth (SEW) in supporting resilience (2022-23).

2.Based on the outcomes of the first stage, we aim to apply for external funding (2023-24) to support an extended project of empirical research on resilience among women-led SMEs in Palestine in defined economic sectors, including agriculture, determining drivers at external, organisational, and individual levels (2024-6).
