Project Description
As the crypto asset market continues to grow, the role of custodians to maintain the safekeeping of crypto assets is becoming ever more important. So far, many institutional investors who manage large amounts of assets such as hedge funds, pension funds, investment banks and family offices stay away from buying crypto assets due to the lack of effective custody platforms. Our research shows that none of the existing custodians effectively fulfils the requirements of investors as there are still some essential challenges that need to be addressed. LastingAsset addresses these challenges and builds an alternative solution that will provide a high level of trust and security, and a much better usability than current custodial solutions. The security risks presented by the online nature of crypto assets is mitigated in LastingAsset by leveraging the trusted execution environment (TEE) and blockchain technologies, thereby providing users with a safe platform for their crypto assets.
