Building From England's Woodlands
People Involved
Project Description
The focus of the project is to develop 5 building system concepts through innovative digital design, adapted to the characteristics of 5 underutilised home-grown English timber species. Each project should be developed to create 1:1 physical prototypes limited to specific junctions or components. Each component will demonstrate the application of a home-grown species. Species selection will be predicated on initial research into homegrown inventory, including that within the 50% of unmanaged English Woodlands.
