This research explores the transition from student to Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW). This research examines the challenges in terms of confidence competence, and professional identity. The aims of the research is to support the student in making their transition into their first post as smoothly and effectively as possible and assist the student in identifying their learning and development needs and articulating them to employers. The final aim is to assist the employer in planning the induction of their workers.
