Project Description

This project focuses upon the creation and growth of a network of researchers within Scotland and India who have common research interests in the challenges presented by the emergence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the environment. In this project, we will explore a novel approach to low cost, electrochemical detection of environmental antimicrobial residues through the creation of a bioassay based upon inhibition of microbial growth. We have connected with Researchers in Scotland across other Research Institutions (University of the West of Scotland, James Hutton Institute, Glasgow Caledonian University, Edinburgh Napier University and Heriot-Watt), who have projects to study the emergence of AMR in the environment. this project is led by University of Strathclyde
