Biography Bruce’s pre-nursing career started working in finical services before commencing a career in nursing in 2004. Bruce graduated from Robert Gordon University with a Diploma in Adult Nursing. Since qualifying Bruce has gained extensive experience as an adult nurse, specialist practitioner district nurse, community practitioner nurse prescriber and advanced nurse practitioner. Bruce completed a post graduate MSc in Advanced District Nursing and gained accreditation with the Royal College of Nursing as an advanced nurse practitioner in 2016. Bruce has over 10 years nursing experience spanning several fields including: community health, public health, general and geriatric medicine. Prior to joining Edinburgh Napier University as a lecturer Bruce worked as a District Nurse Team Manager leading an integrated health and social care team. Recently in 2019 Bruce completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Learning Teaching and Assessment Practice, gaining fellowship with the Higher Education Academy. Bruce currently teaches on the undergraduate and postgraduate programme at Edinburgh Napier University.
