Biography I am a Lecturer in Operations Management at The School of Business of Edinburgh Napier University. Prior to joining Edinburgh Napier University, I was an Assistant Professor in Operations Management at The Faculty of Management of Kharazmi University, Tehran, Iran. I received my PhD in Operations Management from Alliance Manchester Business School (where I was awarded a four-year, full scholarships) in 2017, my MSc in Industrial Management - Production and Operations Management from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran in 2008 and my BSc in Industrial Management - Production and Operations Management from Hormozgan University, Bandar Abbas, Iran in 2005 with the highest grade point average (GPA) in my cohort.

I have extensive experience in teaching different operations and supply chain management courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, from several years before beginning my PhD, during my PhD study and after the PhD.

My current research interests lie at the interface between operations management and operations research. My research works utilise operations research techniques such as mathematical programming (stochastic and deterministic), simulation (system dynamics and discrete event simulation), risk analysis using Bayesian networks, and BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to model and analyse operations management problems in order to provide managerial insights to decision makers. The operations management problems studied in my research works include the policies for extending sustainability to sub-suppliers in multi-tier supply chains, Industry 4.0 technologies adoption to healthcare supply chain management, and production planning and control.

My recent research papers have been published in journals such as International Journal of Production Economics, Production Planning & Control, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Manufacturing Systems and The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology.
