Summary
The film Itu Ninu by Napier academic Ita Jansen will be screening at UCLA. The event is organised by the Latin American Institute at UCLA.
The film is a Science fiction drama and tells the story of two climate migrants.
The film Itu Ninu, a practice-based research output by Napier academic Itandehui Jansen received the Jury Awards for Best Narrative Feature at the Cine Las Americas International Film Festival. The film project explored sustainable materials and approaches in film production, and limited its footprint by walking to set and working with natural light.
The film premiered in October at the Morelia International Film Festival in Mexico and has since then screened at a variety of venues and festivals, among others in Poland, Spain, Austria, Chile, and Brazil.
The film Itu Ninu by Itandehui Jansen, Programme Lead for the MA Film at Edinburgh Napier University, has just received the Grand Prize at the Arizona International Film Festival.
