Biography I am a lecturer in family law and children's rights law, as well as Deputy Director of the Centre for Child and Family Law and Policy.

I hold a PhD in Japanese private law. I was awarded the Japanese Ministry of Education scholarship twice (2016-2017 and 2020-2022) for exceptional research results. My ambition is to apply a multidisciplinary approach to legal scholarship by presenting essential topics to a general audience, drawing on both Western and Japanese sources, as well as diverse perspectives on lesser-known subjects.

The Pacific War is my life’s passion, which remarkably influenced my academic skills and career path.

My research achievements include ten monographs and over twenty articles related to law and history, published in the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, the Netherlands and Poland.
