Description Timothy Olawumi had the privilege of delivering the keynote address on "Rethinking Scientific Excellence: A Framework for Collaborative Research Leadership in Africa" at the recently concluded Ife Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) 2024 conference. The event, held from November 19 to 23, 2024, centred around the theme "Community of Practice: Collaboration and Academic Leadership for Science and Technology Education and Research in Africa." His session attracted over 100 participants and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the attendees.

EPSRC Strategic Infrastructure 2024 Panel Member

Description Timothy Olawumi was invited by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to serve as a panel member on the Strategic Infrastructure Interview Panel. This was a two-day panel session held on November 26th and 28th, 2024, which comprised five experts with diverse expertise covering the entire scope of the EPSRC Strategic Infrastructure applications. Our responsibilities included grading and ranking each of the applications, conducting interviews with the applicants, and deliberating and making final funding recommendations to EPSRC.
