Biography Ethan Robson is a current PhD student at Edinburgh Napier University. He is researching adaptive sound design for video games and how selective attention can be utilised to enhance user engagement. Ethan is currently employed on the SOVRA research projects within the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment, and has been employed in other research projects in the School of Arts and Creative Industries. Alongside this, he lectures in the Sound Design BSc (Hons) degree in creative sound design. Ethan began working with audio at the age of fifteen in a live sound environment. He has worked with many genre defining acts such as Ocean Colour Scene, Lesley Garrett CBE and Curtis Stigers, as well as many notable spoken word performers including Henry Rollins and Neil Oliver. After ten years in live sound, Ethan became employed by world renowned digital audio console manufacturer Digico. He spent two years as a test engineer working on all commercially available consoles and much of the supporting equipment.
