Georgina Gilmer

Biography	I am the Head of CPD and Consultancy and engage with colleagues across ENU to support the development of these knowledge exchange activities. I work closely with the Business Development and Relationship Managers who lead on supporting academics to develop new open CPD provisions and engage with clients for bespoke CPD and Consultancy projects. To ensure the successful delivery of projects, I advise and signpost colleagues accordingly, indicating key contacts for consultancy work as well as who supports the CPD learner journey. For large and complex projects, I often the lead the development and client relationship management or closely consult the supporting teams. This empowers Schools with the strategic growth of CPD and Consultancy to support positive societal impact and income generation. I started my career in management consultancy working on sustainable tourism development. I supported a range of projects across the world, including in Moray to support the preservation of the last remaining Nimrod and in Somalia to develop a strategy for heritage tourism. I started my own consultancy company which I managed for a few years before transitioning into the higher education sector. Whilst in HE, I have coordinated three research centres, managed the pre- and post-award research support functions at school level, worked as the strategic institutional lead for Innovate UK's Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund and now manage ENU's CPD and Consultancy portfolio.
