Biography Peter Buwert is a graphic design lecturer and researcher whose work focusses on the ethical dimensions and implications of design, with specific expertise in visual communication design.

At the core of Peter's research is the exploration of the nature and application of the inherent ethicality which emerges within design activity.

Threads of inquiry emerging from this central concern include: the use of philosophical thought experiments in nurturing designer's capacities for ethical thinking; an interest in design's peculiar ability to an-aesthetise us to social and political dimensions of our own lived experiences; explorations of the use of participatory speculative design as part of democratic deliberation in collectively re-imagining our conditions of existence.
