Dr Jennifer O'Neil
Biography | Dr Jennifer O'Neil is an experienced Programme Leader, at both post graduate and undergraduate level. She is currently leading the online MBA, the Business School's largest post graduate degree, and prior to this served as the Programme Leader for the MSc Human Resource Management (pt) (2022 - 2024) and the BA Business Management degree (2019 - 2022) respectively. Her areas of research interest are focused on the sociology work and employment, with special interest in: Training and skills development, flexible work, precarious work, compassionate pedagogy and career transitions. Recent externally funded projects have explored 'Precarity and free labour of mental health counselling practitioners and trainees' and the Emotional labour of counsellors and psychotherapists working online during Covid-19.' She has extensive Teaching and Learning experience in the HRM subject group, specifically on Global HRM and Human Resource Development. This is reflective of both her research and her professional background working in Human Resource Management and international recruitment. Her teaching approach focus's on student experience and employability and championing mental health & well being in the curriculum and on campus. She is a member for the Centre of Mental Health Practice, Policy and Law Research at ENU and is passionate about cross-disciplinary work, which can impact policy and stakeholder experiences of employment, training and career transitions. |
