Dr Elsa Bouet

Biography	I was awarded my PhD by the University of Edinburgh in 2013. My research interests centre on post-1945 dystopian fiction, science fiction and more recently the New Weird and Afrofuturism. I am currently working on a book chapter on Global Gothic Technologies which seeks to show how the New Weird promotes the decolonisation of neoliberalism, which will be published by Edinburgh University Press. I am part of the steering group for the interdisciplinary research and creative network Social Dimensions of Outer Space, whose broader remit is to seek the decolonisation of outer space and of our own environmentally, socially and politically fragile Earth.
